Erosion Control

Erosion control is the practice of preventing or controlling wind or water erosion in in your landscape, construction sites, groves and farms. Creating physical barriers using erosion control products help prevent damage. These barriers help protect lakes, ponds, rivers and streams from sediment pollution. They protect gardens, agriculture and homes from being flooded and prevents harmful runoff into our storm drains.

Proper drainage helps control erosion. Using drain pipe to direct water where you want it to go can be very proactive in preventing damage and stormwater runoff.

Stormwater can pick up debris, chemicals, dirt, and other pollutants and flow into a storm sewer system or directly to a lake, stream, river, wetland, or coastal water. Anything that enters a storm sewer system is discharged untreated into the waterbodies we use for swimming, fishing and providing drinking water.
