A Week of Faith, Love, and Impact
Grangetto's is thrilled to share the incredible journey of the Paraguay missions team as they embarked on a life-changing seven-day trip with Su Refugio. From worshiping together to sharing the gospel, building connections with the community, and celebrating birthdays, each day was filled with moments of hope, transformation, and unity in Christ.
Day 1: A Warm Welcome and Inspirational Music
After enduring a long journey, the missions team arrived in Tobatí, greeted with warmth and gratitude. The day commenced with a time of prayer, song, and a study of the Beatitudes, setting the spiritual foundation for their mission. Touring the Su Refugio campus, they were introduced to key staff members and witnessed the various ministries designed to bring people closer to Christ. The day culminated in a captivating concert by Su Refugio's Music Academy, reaffirming the transformative power of music in spreading the gospel.
Day 2: Connecting with Children and Teens
The second day presented ample opportunities for the team to connect with the children at Su Refugio. Engaging in the Royal Rangers program, they interacted with around 100 children, sharing the message of the gospel through games and discussions. Lunch with the older girls in the Children's Home fostered beautiful moments of cultural exchange and understanding, showcasing the impact Su Refugio has had on their lives. The day concluded with inspiring testimonies from the Youth With A Purpose group, emphasizing the lasting influence of God's love in their lives.
Day 3: Worship and Exploration
Sunday, the Lord's day, was spent worshiping at Iglesia Florida, where the team joined hands with the local congregation in praising the Lord and hearing from Scott, who delivered a powerful message from Genesis. Following church, they embarked on a tour of Asunción with the children and staff from the RESCUE program, forging deeper bonds with those at Su Refugio. An outing to the mall allowed the children to enjoy a day of fun and strengthened the team's connection with the dedicated staff caring for these children with unconditional love.
Day 5: Spreading the Gospel and Celebrating Birthdays
The fifth day was devoted to evangelism, as the missions team visited local schools to share the gospel through skits, testimonies, and group discussions. Although most children came from Catholic families, the team prayed that the seeds of truth planted would lead them to a deeper relationship with God. Lunch was a joyful celebration of Julia's 18th birthday, shared with the children and staff from the rescue home. The day concluded with an encouraging expo for the women's EQUIP program, where Michelle's devotional and Ruth's testimony uplifted the spirits of those present.
Day 6: Engaging in Service and Prayer
Day 6 was a day of projects on the Su Refugio campus, where the team painted signs, built benches, and taught various classes, showcasing the practical use of their talents. Moms In Prayer made its debut in the Rosado barrio, bringing together around 20 mothers to pray for their families and community. The Dame Refugio campaign was introduced, empowering women from the EQUIP program to create dolls and raise awareness for Su Refugio's mission to care for abused children. The day ended with a beautiful worship session, celebrating unity in Christ and looking forward to the future when believers from all nations will worship together.
Day 7: A Day of Wonder and Celebration
The final day was a sightseeing day at the breathtaking Iguazu Falls in Brazil, reminding the team of the Creator's power and majesty. The day concluded with a celebration of Ruth's birthday, a time of rest, and appreciation for God's magnificent creation.
The Su Refugio's Paraguay Trip was a resounding success, filled with moments of inspiration, connection, and faith. The missions team, Su Refugio staff, and the children they served experienced the love and hope of Christ, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts and minds. Grangetto's is proud to be a part of this transformative journey and looks forward to more impactful collaborations in the future.
